Management And Staffing Team

Willie Tucker – Managing Principal

Willie Tucker is a managing principal at W. Tucker and Associates. Willie is responsible for the recruitment of senior and mid level talent.

Willie has worked as a professional recruiter for 17 years. Prior to partnering with Chuck Newman at NTGI, he was Senior Recruiter and National Account Manager with Management Recruiters International (MRI) where he successfully placed senior to mid level talent in the information technology, aerospace/defense and higher education administration areas. Additionally, Willie consistently received recognition as a “Top Producer” within the firm.

Willie has been a political advisor and fundraiser for political candidates. His unique style of professionalism as well as his vast network of professional associates is a contributing factor to his successes.

A native of Southern California, Willie holds a degree in Political Science from UCLA, as well as a graduate degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Alicia m. Jacobs – Senior Associate

Alicia M. Jacobs offers strategic and tactical solutions to organizations focused on linking their human capital to the organization’s vision, mission and goals. With her analytical understanding of business, she supports and partner’s with organizations to build higher performing teams.

Alicia has provided consulting services for over 20 years to Fortune 500 companies, educational institutions, and government agencies. As a strategic partner Alicia assists corporate clients and senior executives in meeting performance goals for their human capital, in addition to creating strategic initiatives, which include assessing leadership and management effectiveness.

Alicia has a MBA from Pepperdine University and her Bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College. As a certified behavioral and values analyst, Alicia has the CPBA and CPVA designations, in addition to being certified to administer the Myers-BriggsType Inventory, Strength Deployment Inventory, FIRO B and DISC assessments.

Stella G. Marks,JD - Senior Associate

Stella manages complex research, project management, and strategic implementation.

Stella has extensive experience working with R1 and R2 educational institutions, where she advised senior leadership on faculty hiring & compensation, diversity, pipeline programs (graduate and undergraduate), promotion and tenure, new degree programs, budget, and international affairs. With almost 20 years’ experience, she has managed implementation of a variety of broad-based campus-wide strategic initiatives.

Stella has served as Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where she focused on diversity and faculty issues, including recruitment and retention, hiring processes, mentoring, and leadership development. Together with the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, she was responsible for the design, implementation, and program management of the $25m Faculty Diversity Action Plan and worked closely with faculty and academic leadership in all nine divisions to institutionalize best practices for faculty hiring and progress measurement. She also served as institutional representative to the Leadership Alliance, a national consortium of top teaching and research colleges and universities whose mission is to dramatically increase the number of underrepresented minority students who seek and complete graduate degrees.

Stella has served the University of California system in multiple capacities at three campuses – Riverside, Los Angeles, and Irvine – including Director of Faculty Relations and Development, Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration, and Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice Chancellor. She also served as Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and Associate Dean of Faculty at Keck Graduate Institute, of the Claremont Consortium of Colleges. Prior to entering higher education administration, Stella was a senior attorney advisor and senior civil rights analyst with the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights offices in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, focusing on educational access. Stella is an active member of the Texas bar, and was an associate in the appellate section of Cowles & Thompson, PC in Dallas.

Stella earned her JD from the University of Houston Law Center where she received the Bracewell & Patterson (now Bracewell & Giuliani) Award for Outstanding Associate Editor on the Houston Law Review, and the Distinguished Service Award. She was instrumental in developing a legal aid center for mentally and developmentally disabled adults. Stella earned her BA in history, magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University, and was the first African American woman from Texas to be admitted to the United States Naval Academy.
